Sophie Lutz, 92

Sophie Lutz, 92, of Lucasville, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Hillview Retirement Center. She was born March 23, 1920, in Enfield, Conn., a daughter of the late Michael and Ludwika Cednaroski Baltronis.

Sophia was a homemaker and former secretary at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She was a member of the Aldora Chapter 262 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Victory Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union Church on Fallen Timber.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki (John) Egbert of Portsmouth; three grandsons, Ian (Deana) Egbert of Portsmouth, Elliott (Theresa) Egbert of Lucasville, and Corey (Jennifer) Egbert of Newcomerstown, Ohio; and one sister.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willard Louis Lutz, July 19, 1995; one brother; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Joe Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Harger Cemetery. Friends may call 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
