Christine Pennington Gyor Howard, 83

Christine Pennington Gyor Howard, 83, of Sciotoville, died Thursday, July 26, 2012, at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Flatwoods, Ky.a daughter of the late Shade Franklin Pennington and Nellie Smith Pennington.

Christine was a member of North Moreland High Praises Church of God. She is survived by her five sons, Paul (Linda) Gyor of Marion, Dennis (Pierrette) Gyor of Williamsburg, Va., Randy Gyor of Sciotoville, Danny Howard of Rarden, and Gary Howard of Circleville; five daughters, Patty (David) Newsome, Debbie (Don) Richard, and Tammy (Mike) Stewart of Sciotoville, Connie (Roy) Pierce of LaRue, and Sherry Parker of West Portsmouth; a step-son, Jippy Howard of Florida; a sister, Irene Carter of Columbus, 33 grandchildren 48 great-grandchildren seven great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Kinnison, and her husband, Wince “Jip” Howard Jr.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2012, at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Minister Larry Hammond officiating. Burial will follow at South Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and noon to 1 p.m. on Monday at the D. W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston. On-line condolences to dwswickfuneralhome.com
