Chris Beesler, 61

Chris Edward Beesler, 61, of South Webster passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012. He was born May 13, 1951, in South Webster, a son of the late Cleve Beesler and Stella Marie Smith Beesler. He was an eagle scout and a 1969 graduate of South Webster High School. Chris was employed as a correctional officer at Southen Ohio Correctional Facility for 32 years as well as the old Ohio Penitentiary in Columbus, Ohio for two years. He also worked as a bus driver for Bloom-Vernon Schools for over 20 years. Chris’s hobbies were gardening, making his own spices, homemade salsa and spending time with his family

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherrie Rae Beesler; one sister, Audrey Richter; and one brother Charles Beesler

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Kathy Lee Vankirk Beesler, whom he married on Oct. 29, 1972; one daugter Cassie (Rick) Ousley; one son, Jason Beesler; one sister, Linda Lykins and the love of his life his granddaughter, Alexis Ousley and grandson, Dakota Ousley; along with many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation. Cremation to follow with a public memorial service to be held at a later date.
