Georgie Ockerman, 81

Georgie Elizabeth Ockerman, 81, of Wheelersburg died Friday, July 20, 2012, at Rest Haven Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 13, 1930, in Wheelersburg to the late Walter Ockerman and Marie Benson Ockerman.

She is survived by one daughter Donna (Bruce) Benner, two sisters, Marcella Winters and Karol Sue Dummitt, six grandchildren Crystal Hunter, Penny McGoron, Nathan McGoron, Kenneth Knight, Connie Hite and Casey Benner, two honorary grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and great great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Lee Ockerman and Harold Ockerman and one sister, Lucille Drake.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at 8 p.m. at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Benner will be officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
