Dorothy Griffith, 84

Dorothy E. Griffith, 84, of Circleville, died July 24, 2012, at The Woodlands. She was born on Nov. 27, 1927, in S. Portsmouth, Ky., the daughter of Ray and Ada (Arthur) Burns. She graduated from Central High School and attended Bliss College, worked for Drs. Goldschmidt and Liggett for nine years and belonged to Berger Hospital Guild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold E. Griffith and sisters, Joyce Ann Jasper and Sandra Marie Verderano. She is survived by her children, Gregory R. (Mary Lea) Griffith of Reynoldsburg, Lorna Lynn (Larry) Leist of Hendersonville, N.C., Jeffrey D. (Mary) Griffith of Kaukauna, Wis. and Terri Kim Griffith of Logan; grandchildren, Craig (Amy) Leist, Nathan (Zara), Aaron, Stephen and Bradley Griffith; great grandchildren, Brandon Matthew and Ryder Matthew and sister, Katherine Burns of Portsmouth. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday July 27, 2012, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
