Alma Goddard, 83
Alma Jean Goddard, 83, of New Boston died Friday, July 6, 2012, at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born Oct. 21, 1928, in New Boston, a daughter of the late John and Thelma Briggs Layne. Alma is survived by six sons, John, Jeff, Charlie, Joe, Mike and Carl Goddard; four daughters, Eva Rupe, Mary Ann Kirkpatrick, Tammy Lynn Banta and Tina Mellendorf; one sister, Wanda Humble and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Selby W. Goddard, a daughter, Carol Clarice Goddard, a brother, Louis Edgar Layne and a sister, Judy Cook.
Private services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation arrangements being handled by D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston. Condolences to dwswickfuneralhome.com.
