Effie Truesdell Dixon, 81

Effie Louise Truesdell Dixon, 81, of South Shore, Ky., died July 3, 2012, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. Mrs. Dixon was born on Dec. 20, 1930, to the late John C. and Minta Alice Bayless Truesdell. She was the widow of Roy W. Dixon. Mrs. Dixon was a nurse’s aide, a member of the South Shore Church of Christ and a member of The Daughter’s of American Revolution.

Mrs. Dixon is survived by her son Dean Dixon of Minford, Ohio, four brothers, Gayle Truesdell of Orangeburg, Ky., John Truesdell of Fearisville, Ky., Tom Truesdell of Chalk Ridge, Ky. and Kenneth Truesdell of Trinity, Ky., three sisters, Judy Truesdell Highfield, Linda Conley of Flemingsburg, Ky., Sandra Bramel of Eagle Creek, Ohio. Also surviving are two Grandchildren, Cy (Leigh Ann) Dixon and Max (Melissa) Dixon, and four great grandchildren, Macey Dixon, Matthew Dixon, Baileigh Dixon and Rex Dixon. Preceding Mrs. Dixon in death were two brothers Delbert Truesdell, and Larry Truesdell, also two sisters Gladys Marie Truesdell and Edna Littleton.

Services for Effie Truesdell Dixon will be Saturday, July 7, 2012, at the Barbour & Son Funeral Home in Tollesboro, Ky. at 1 p.m. with Rev. Steve Falls officiating. Burial will follow in the East Fork Cemetery. Visitation was held at the funeral home Friday night. Guestbook at barbourfh.com
