Norma Hoskins Medina, 63
Norma Dinell Hoskins Medina, beloved wife, mother and artist passed away Sunday morning, June 3, 2012. Born in Sciotoville, on Sept. 6, 1948, to Ramey and Pearl Hoskins, Norma was a graduate of Sciotoville East High School and of Ohio University in Athens, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Art. She was a fixture in the Atlanta art scene for many years and developed many close personal friendships around the country. But the work of which she was most proud was her two sons, Terrance and Trevor Medina. She is survived by them, as well as by her loving husband, Augusto Medina. Dinell is also survived by brothers, Ramey (Sonny) Hoskins, and Richard (Dick) Hoskins and sisters Sue Jung and Wanda Appleton. A memorial service was held at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in the Samuel Goldwyn retreat at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2012. Some of her artwork was on display. Several people presented remembrances of her.
