Joyce Lee Mullins Munn, 77

Joyce Lee Mullins Munn, 77, Maloneton, Ky., passed away Friday, June 8, 2012, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth. Joyce was a devoted wife and mother. She shared her love of learning with countless children, dedicating many years of her life toward her love of teaching at Sunshine and McKell Elementary Schools. She was retired from the Greenup County School System.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elder Garland Eugene and Elinor Burke Mullins, formerly of Greenup and previously Beefhide, Ky.; brothers, Ronald Eugene, Michael, James Archie, Samuel and Mitchell Mullins; and sisters, Floretta and Pasty Mullins.

Joyce was born in Beefhide, Ky. March 29, 1935. She is survived by her husband, Sherman Munn; her son, Ralph Munn and his wife Carla Munn of Minford, Ohio; two daughters, Rita Kramer and her husband Randy Kramer of Seabrook Island, S.C., Rhonda Smith and her husband Jeff Smith of Kingsport, Tenn. She will be missed by four grandchildren; brothers Gerald, David and Steve Mullins; sisters Donna Cordle and Katie Murphy as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services 11 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky., with Elders Edward Smith and Chester Allen, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, South Shore, Ky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday.
