Virginia Lee McClintic (Grandma Jenny), 86, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. She died at home surrounded by all of her family and friends. Virginia was born Sept. 7, 1925, a daughter of the late Lee Teegarden and Mary Hill Cook. She was a life-long home maker who loved sitting on her porch watching her friends and neighbors go by. Virginia was a member of Fredrick Freewill Baptist Church, The South Webster Red Hats Group, and the 55+ Club of South Webster. She is survived by four sons; John (Judy) McClintic and Clyde H. (Rita) McClintic, Jr., all of Wheelersburg, Jim (Barb) McClintic and David (Rhonda) McClintic all of South Webster; three daughters, Debbie K. McClintic and Sheila (Randy) Howard all of South Webster, and Dolores (Ray) Miller of Otway. Virginia was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sister-in-laws, Mildred (Sonny) Corriel and Ann McClintic all of Wheelersburg, and Erma McClintic of Portsmouth; a sister at heart, Joyce Smith of South Webster, and daughter-in-law Connie McClintic and her friend Harry of Columbus. Virginia was also preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Clyde H. McClintic Sr., whom she married June 22, 1946; her oldest son, Gary L. McClintic; twin infant sons, Gerald and Derald McClintic; infant son Ray Neff; and grandson, Sean Miller. The family would like to give a special thanks to caregivers Shelly Ward, Brandy Zornes, Nurse Jennifer Hall and to Hospice. Services will be Sunday, May 27, 2012, at 2 p.m. at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster with Reverend Rusty Larter and William “Sonny” Corriel officiating. Burial will be at South Webster Cemetery.
