Brian Travis Ashmore, 48, of Portsmouth passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, at the SOMC emergency department after a long illness. Brian, a graduate of Clay High School, was born June 9, 1963, to the late Travis Eugene Ashmore and Zelda Ashmore. He was a longtime employee of The Gutterman. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Cordial and special friend, Sarah Whisman. Surviving are his mother; brother, Daniel (Cheri) Ashmore; sisters, Charlene Cordial (Max) Reeder and Anna Ashmore (William) Killian; a cousin who was like a sister, Carolyn Lawson (Ron) Moberly; children, Nick (Joni) Estle, LaKeisha Snook (Mark) Harpel, Bobbi Jo Snook and T.J. Cantrell; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Ethan, Chloe, Evan, Halee, Kierra and Caleb; very dear friends, Tracy Whisman and Tonya Whisman Entler and girlfriend Malissa Conley. A memorial service to celebrate Brian’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the New Boston First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. James Patrick officiating.
