Brian Travis Ashmore, 48, of Portsmouth passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, at the SOMC emergency department after a long illness. Brian, a graduate of Clay High School, was born June 9, 1963, to the late Travis Eugene Ashmore and Zelda Ashmore. He was a longtime employee of The Gutterman. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Cordial and special friend, Sarah Whisman. Surviving are his mother; brother, Daniel (Cheri) Ashmore; sisters, Charlene Cordial (Max) Reeder and Anna Ashmore (William) Killian; a cousin who was like a sister, Carolyn Lawson (Ron) Moberly; children, Nick (Joni) Estle, LaKeisha Snook (Mark) Harpel, Bobbi Jo Snook and T.J. Cantrell; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Ethan, Chloe, Evan, Halee, Kierra and Caleb; very dear friends, Tracy Whisman and Tonya Whisman Entler and girlfriend Malissa Conley. The family wishes to thank Heartland Nursing Home, Dialysis Clintics Inc., Life Ambulance and Southern Ohio Medical Center. A memorial service to celebrate Brian’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the New Boston First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. James Patrick officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston.
