Ray E. Dever, 79, of Minford, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born Sept. 9, 1932, in Scioto County, a son of the late Elza Roscoe and Goldie Sparks Dever, he was a supervisor at Martin-Marietta and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Naomi Warren Dever; one daughter, Gayle (Randy) Roffe of Minford; two grandchildren, Meagan (Randall) Scott of Portsmouth, Wesley Roffe of Minford, and two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Dever of Clarktown and Dorothy Dever of Minford.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Dever and Roy Dever.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Bob Romanello officiating. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
