Charles William Kalb, 72, of West Portsmouth, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at SOMC Hospice. Charles was born Oct. 11, 1939, at Portsmouth the son of the late Forrest and Dorothy Davis Kalb. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in West Portsmouth. He was 1959 graduate of Portsmouth High School and retired from the produce department at Krogers.
Surviving is his wife, Sandra Ward Kalb; two daughters, Ronita Ward Murray of Wheelersburg and Jennifer Leigh Kalb of Cincinnati; a son-in-law, Chris Johnson of Wheelersburg; three grandchildren, Tracy Murray, Mariah Murray and Austin Pettigrew; two sisters, Marilyn Augustin of Minford and Sally Glockner of Crestview, Ky. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Orlett.
Funeral services will be noon Friday, May 4, 2012, at Melcher Funeral Home with the Rev. David Young officiating Friends may call at Melcher Funeral Home from Friday 10 a.m. until noon.
