Valley High School celebrated their homecoming with the theme “Light Up the Night” on Feb. 1, when the Indians hosted the Oak Hill Oaks. The ceremony was conducted between the Junior Varsity and the Varsity games.
McKenzie Coriell was elected Sweetheart Queen. McKenzie is the daughter of Ron and Beth Coriell. She was escorted by Jordan West, son of Bob and Kelly West, and Will Howard, son of Craig and Lisa Howard. Layla Lundy was the flower girl and Blake Lundy was the crown bearer. They are the daughter and son of Chris and Bethanie Lundy.
First Senior Attendant was Nicole Mills, daughter of Christine Klein and Donnie Mills. She was escorted by Chris Flowers, son of David and Nancy Flowers.
Second Senior Attendant was Brooklyn Ruby-Dillow, daughter of Michael and Diane Dillow. She was escorted by Dakota Baker, son of Brian and Beth Baker.
Junior Vocational School Attendant was Savannah Taylor, daughter of Deanna Taylor and Shannon Taylor. She was escorted by Kyle Miller, son of Jeffery and Laura Miller.
Junior Attendant was Bethany Conley, daughter of Brent and Beth Conley. She was escorted by Ethan Clark-Holbrook, son of Michael and Patrick Phillips and Chris and Monica Holbrook.
Sophomore Attendant was Catherine McCrory, daughter of Carl and Terry McCrory. She was escorted by Ryan Brown, son of Tim and Lisa Brown.
Freshman Attendant was Kacie Hickerson, daughter of Michael and Andrea Hickerson. She was escorted by Drew Wolford, son of John and Sigrid Wolford.
In honor of the queen and her court, a dance was held after the game by the Valley cheerleaders.
