Bob Blaine, 73

James Robert “Bob” Blaine, 73, of St. Paul, Ky., died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

He was born Aug. 11, 1939, in Firebrick, Ky., to the late Levi Blaine, he is survived by his mother Besselene Nunley Blaine of St. Paul, Ky.

Bob was a former employee of Western Southern Insurance Co., and was retired from the Lewis County Fiscal Court. He was an avid sports fan who loved bluegrass music and NASCAR racing.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 27 years, Brenda Kamer Blaine, a daughter, Kathy (Alan) Bays of Bowling Green, Ky., a step-daughter, Lora (Matthew) Stone of South Shore, Ky., a step-son Kevin (Rachel) Bloomfield of Firebrick, Ky., three grandchildren and a sister Ginger Kamer of Firebrick, Ky.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Morton Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky. with Roger Clark and Ronnie Conley officiating. Burial will be in Greene Cemetery in St. Paul. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
