Lexie Gilliland’s game-high 21 points and Madison Whitley’s 11 rebounds helped visiting Clay break an early fourth quarter tie to post a 54-47 SOC I win over Western in Tuesday’s action.
Emily Widdowson chipped in wth 13 points and Katie Redding finished with a dozen in the win. The Indians were paced by Chrissy Woods’ 16 points.
Both teams play conference games in their next trips to the floor as the Panthers open their home portion of the 2012-2013 schedule Thursday when they host Symmes Valley. Western travels the same day to Green.
