Ronald Sexton, 77
Ronald Ray Sexton, 77, of Portsmouth, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at his home. He was born May 18, 1935, in Sciotoville, a son of the late William Russell and Ruth Snodgrass Sexton.
Ron was retired from the London Correctional Facility, and he had worked at the former Vulcan Last Company. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife Edith L. Sexton.
Surviving are two sons, William Robert Sexton and Ronald Shawn Sexton, both of Portsmouth; two stepsons, Edward and Rick Dunston; a brother, Jim Sexton of Southfield, Mich.; four sisters, Angie Nagle of Covington, Ga., Vicki Wiethe of Cincinnati, Sandy Shaffer of Madison, Ga., and Delores Waddell of Maple Heights; three grandchildren, Christle L. Gray, Amber M.N. Sexton, and Adam R. Sexton; and a very special cousin, George Lester (Connie) Sexton of Knoxville, Tenn.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Lee Sexton; and a sister, Patty Brown.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the RALPH F. SCOTT FUNERAL HOME in Portsmouth with Rev. Pete Michael officiating and interment in Old Wheelersburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 11 am.
