Dorothy Lewallen, 97

Dorothy G. Lewallen, 97, of Jackson, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Four Winds Nursing Facility in Jackson, Ohio. She was born May 30, 1915, in Scioto County, Ohio to the late Erin Lafe Snook and Bessie Irene McFann Snook.

She was a former cook for Wheelersburg Schools and a member of Wheelersburg United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Vaughn (Vicki) Hall and Thomas D. (Carolyn) Lewallen, two daughters, Wanda Hall (Roger) Hammond and Linda Evans, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Hall, two brothers, Donald Snook and Vaughn Snook and two sisters, Ruth Snook Nelson and Alice Snook Horine.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home with Reverend Wendell Vermillion officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 3 p.m to 5 p.m. and one hour before the services on Monday. Memorial contribution may be made to the Four Winds Activity Fund - 215 Seth Ave. - Jackson, Ohio 45640.
