School bus safety is topic
The theme of the 2010 National School Bus Safety Week is a unique reminder to motorists and students about the dangers that exist outside the school bus.
Wheelersburg Local bus drivers will be at the Wheelersburg Elementary School teaching bus safety to several classes on Monday, Oct. 18.
They also will have a school bus displaying the “Danger Zone” from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the Kroger parking lot, Ohio River Road, Wheelersburg.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children to see the bus and also talk to the drivers about the safety issues that surround a school bus.
The drivers do their best to not only make the students aware of the danger zone around a school bus, but also the parents.
Pamphlets and candy will be passed out when they are at the Kroger store.
