She was born Dec. 4, 1934, in West Liberty, KY, daughter of the late Bazie and Vannie (Price) Dulin. On Feb. 16, 1950, Freda was united in marriage to William Hager Montgomery who survives.
Also surviving are five daughters, Garnett (Carlis) Tackett, Joyce Anne Montgomery, Aillene Montgomery, Brenda (Randy) Wolfenbarker, and Dottie (Larry) McQuay; 10 grandchildren, Carlis Christopher and William Brian Tackett, Clifton Mark Birkhimer, Kevin Channing Birkhimer, Ashlee Elizabeth Thompson, Patrick Kelly Thompson, Brianna Nicholle Miller, Randa Taylor Wolfenbarker, Zachary Miles Mays and Uriah Joseph Montgomery; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny Hershel and Bazie Dulen; and seven sisters, Lella Drake, Lola Johnson, Nola Sergent, Lurissa Anderson, Delena Shaver, Shirley Long, Carolyn Sue Cantrell and Earlena Ferrell.
In addition to her parents, two daughters, Donna Marie and Bernice Montgomery, and two brothers, Jerry and Emory Dulin, preceded Freda in death.
Freda was baptized in November 1968, a member of Little Vine Regular Primitive Baptist Church, and retired from Good Shepherd Manor in October 1996 to care for her mother Vannie.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio, with Elder Bruce Gullett, Pastor Major Montgomery, Pastor James Kenneth Montgomery and Elder Emerson Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Germany Cemetery, Beaver, Ohio. Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
