She was born Jan. 19, 1936, in Portsmouth, Ohio. Marjorie graduated from PHS in the class of 1956. She was raised in All Saints Episcopal Church and was most recently a member of Second Presbyterian Church.
Margie loved living at Hill View and the joy it brought to her life. The residents there will miss her jovial laugh and infectious smile. Her greatest delight was her children and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Raymond D. Carson; her children, Scott (Emily) Carson of Shawnee Forest, and Kelly (Michael) Raies of Portsmouth; grandchildren, Sarah, Allison, Anne Marie Raies and Isaac Carson; and sisters, Donna L. Bandy of Portsmouth and Jacqueline M. Zeve of Grove City. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jane Milward; her sisters, Helen Hay, Mabel Flynn, and Jean Berry; and brother, John Neil Milward.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at F.C. Daehler Mortuary Company in Portsmouth, with the Rev. Stanley Webster and the Rev. Richard North officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Daehlers.
