Barb was born Oct. 10, 1938, in New Boston, a daughter of Olive Grooms Cunningham of New Boston and the late Herschel Cunningham. Barb was a member of Christ’s Community Church and was a buyer at the former Marting’s Department Store.
She was married Nov. 10, 1956, at New Boston United Methodist Church, to Richard G. “Dick” Bays, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Brian Bays and wife Cheryl of Findlay, Ohio, and Scott Bays and wife Crystal of Wheelersburg; one brother, James R. Cunningham and wife Maria of Palm Coast, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Justin, Corbin, Callie and Lauren Bays.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Edgewood Abbey Mausoleum at Memorial Burial Park, with Frank Tallerico officiating. At Barb’s request, there will be no visitation.
