OLBH host Look Good … Feel Better meeting

Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital (OLBH) will host a free Look Good…Feel Better meeting from 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 24 in the OLBH Women’s Center at Bellefonte Center, 1000 Ashland Drive, Russell, Ky.

Look Good…Feel Better helps women cope with the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment by teaching them beauty tips that can help them enhance their looks and boost their self-images. In addition to changes in a patient’s physical condition, chemotherapy and radiation can cause increased susceptibility to infection. Look Good…Feel Better features experts trained to help patients deal with the physical side effects of cancer treatment and to promote good hygiene.

Look Good….Feel Better is a free non-medical program offered by the OLBH Women’s Center in conjunction with the American Cancer Society, the Personal Care Products Council Foundation and the National Cosmetology Association. To register, contact the OLBH CareLine at (606) 833-2273.

Music fest is Aug. 21

Greenup County Music Fest will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Greenbo Lake Amphitheatre, Greenbo Lake State Resort Park, 965 Lodge Road, Greenup, Ky. An all-day music fest including country, bluegrass, old rock, new rock, and gospel as performed from local musicians.

Tickets will be $8 regular admission, $5 seniors, $3 for students, and free for children 5 and under. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Concessions will be available.

Vietnam Moving Wall is on display

The Vietnam Moving Wall will be on display Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Ironton during the annual Rally on the River Celebration. In addition to “The Wall” there will be many patriotic displays and amusements for young and old. The Ohio Chapter of Rolling Thunder with the American Legion Riders also will be present for your viewing.
