Robert Francis Roe, 55, of Wheelersburg, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at his home.

Robert was born April 7, 1955, in Greenup, KY, to the late Robert Nelson and Lena Francis Bryant Roe. He was a member of the Unity Full Gospel Fellowship Church and had worked for CSX Railroad.

Robert was preceded in death by three brothers, Alfred, Carl and Larry Roe.

Robert is survived by his wife, Peggy Law Roe, whom he married, Oct. 14, 1981, in Portsmouth; two children, Jaime (Aaron) Egerton of Irwin, OH, and Robert Glenn Roe of Wheelersburg; eight sisters, Eloise (John David) Holbrook of Wheelersburg, Agnes (Jack) Howard of Portsmouth, Eunice (Paul) Leslie of Pontiac, MI, June Blair of Columbus, Geneva (Mike) Shy of Portsmouth, Clara (Dave) Leslie and Norma (Coleman “Duke”) Copas, both of Wheelersburg, and Teresa (Ralph) Horsley of Blue Creek; and five grandchildren, Elaina, Chase and Nathan Egerton and Xavier and Zander Roe.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth, with Richard Stiles officiating, and interment in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour before the service on Thursday.
