She was born Nov. 20, 1936, in Rarden, Ohio, daughter of the late Curtis “Babe” Ward and Letha Agnes Copas Mason. On Dec. 31, 1960, Nancy was united in marriage to Glen Ervin Skidmore who preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 2000.
Surviving are three children, Joe Skidmore and wife Dawn of Piketon, Ohio, Caryl Skidmore of Lucasville, and Debbie Ewing and husband Gary of Lucasville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; as well as a sister, Betty Taylor and husband James of Rarden, Ohio. Nancy loved and was loved by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, her dad Donald Mason, and a sister Louise Ward, preceded Nancy in death.
Nancy was a homemaker, a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church and attended Rarden Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2010, at the Howe Wheeler Boyer Hornback Funeral Home in Piketon, with Pastor John Duke officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery, Piketon.
Friends may call at the funeral home 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from noon until the time of the service on Sunday.
