She was born in Greenup County, Ky., Jan. 28, 1934, to the late Hubert Brown and Queenie Babe Rowley Warner. Elizabeth had worked at the former Mitchellace Co. for 20 years where she was a braider operator and was a Christian.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, William Arthur Duckett, on April 13, 1984. They were married in Greenup, Ky., on Oct. 18, 1948.
She is survived by two sons, James (Betty) Duckett of Portsmouth and William (Wanda) Duckett of Ashdown, Ark.; four daughters, Nancy (Suvit) Arunotong of Portsmouth, Sharon (Jim) Dailey of Lorain, Debra (Robert) Jackson of Portsmouth, and Carol (Vashir) Khatib of Salt Lake City; two sisters, Barbara James of Amelia and Pricey Jamison of Collins; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her stepfather, Russell Warner and three brothers, Ernie, Marshall and Daniel Brown; and a grandson, James L. Duckett.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth, where the family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour, with the Rev. Gary Shonkwiler officiating. Interment will follow in Garvin Cemetery.
