Roger “Dale” Wright, 60, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Best Care Nursing Home in Wheelersburg. Born Aug. 3, 1949, in Portsmouth, he was the son of the late James Ossie and Menada “Cable” Wright Allen and was a truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Wright; three brothers, Benjamin (Sharon) Wright, William (Mary) Wright, Gary (Bonnie) Wright, and three sisters, Kay (Ken) Munion, Cathy (Thomas) Copley and Charlotte (Eric) Bays.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Ronnie Blevins officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour before the service on Saturday.
