She was born on April 29, 1924, in Stout, a daughter of the late Bige and Inez Poole Wiley and was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Cecil W. McKenzie, whom she married on Dec. 6, 1951, and always referred to him as “Babe;” two sons, Cecil L. (Angie) McKenzie and Bill McKenzie, all of Franklin Furnace; one daughter, Lily (Jon) Blevins of Minford; four grandchildren, Nicole, Jacob, Chloe and Carter; two great-grandsons, Ethan and Austin; and a stepdaughter, Phyllis Brotherton of Heath.
Her grandson, Greg McKenzie; and sister, Lillian Fields, also preceded her in death.
Zola was a great mom, wife, and friend to many, and was always there for you. She will be sadly missed, but all the memories will live forever.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greenlawn Cemetery, with Pastor Mike Musser officiating. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Portsmouth from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
