Carol K. Pollard, 58, of St. Rt. 348, Otway, died 4:06 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at her residence.

She was born May 28, 1951, in Wilmington, Ohio, a daughter of the late Fred Loren and Roma Pauline Meddock Miller. On June 17, 1974, she was united in marriage to Charles Lee Pollard, who preceded her in death on July 1, 2004.

Surviving are a son, Gary D. (Lynn) Osburn of Otway, Ohio; two daughers, Tammy Osburn, and companion Dewey Newsome of Lucasville, Ohio, and Deanna Osburn Pursley of Portsmouth, Ohio; two brothers, Clayton (Arla) Miller of Otway, Ohio, and Loren (Karen) Miller, of Greenup, Ky.; three sisters, Marlena Osburn of Peebles, Ohio, Debbie (Terry) Browning, of McDermott, Ohio, and Lori (Jerry) Ross, of Otway, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jordan Pursley, Ansha Pursley, Ashley Blanton, and Rikki Blanton; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Miller; and a son-in-law, John Pursley.

A graveside service will be noon on Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the Mount Joy Cemetery, with Pastor Delbert Copas officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Botkin Funeral Home in Otway.
