Boil water notice

The South Shore (Ky.) Water Works Company has issued a boil water notice because of a main line break for the area of Fifth Street and Fullerton Avenue. Boil water for a minimum of five minutes.

Customers will be notified when the boil water notice is lifted.

OVRDC banquet is March 24

Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission will have its Full Commission Banquet and Election of Officers on March 24 at the Pike County Career Technology Center (Vern Riffe Vocational School), 175 Beaver Creek Road, Piketon. The keynote speaker will be Tony Logan, state director of the Ohio-USDA Rural Development.

Registration and refreshments will be at 5:30 p.m., and the dinner and program will begin at 6 p.m.

Cost will be:

• $25 registration fee for OVRDC Full Commission member;

• $25 registration fee for OVRDC Committee and Subcommittee member;

• $25 registration fee for OVRDC Ex-officio member; and

• $25 registration fee for nonmember (guest/spouse).

Registration fees are nonrefundable.

Harrison Township’s report is ready

The financial report for Harrison Township is ready for viewing at the home of the fiscal officer Sandra Brisker.

The township meetings will be the third Wednesday of each month.

The president of the township for 2010 is Brett McCormick. Alan Brisker is vice president, and the other trustee is Calvin Seibert.
