He was born May 23, 1956, in Ironton, Ohio, to Ruth Johnson of Franklin Furnace and the late Chester Johnson.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Charles L. Johnson II of Dallas, TX; three daughters, Shelly Johnson of Youngstown, Sarah (Jason) Harnish of Columbia, MD, and Tabitha Rhodes of Crestline; one brother, Richard (Wendy) Johnson of Franklin Furnace; four sisters, Kay Vaughn of Wheelersburg, Diane (Duane) Sampson of Statesville, N.C., Sheila (Jerry) Dingess of Ironton, and Ann (Mark) Davis of Franklin Furnace; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
