Mary Evelyn Pack Conley, 82, of Hudson House in Portsmouth, formerly of West Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord Tuesday Jan. 12, 2010, at SOMC Hospice.

She was born May 31, 1927, in Blaine, Ky., to the late Harrison and Missouri Chandler Pack. She was a former employee of Sears and Roebuck and retired from the Scioto County Department of Human Services. She was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted loving mother and grandmother. Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her former husband, Grover C. Conley, Jr.; a daughter, Linda Sue Conley; a sister, Lula Cantrell James, and five brothers, Homer, Ray, Arley, George and Jim Pack.

Mary is survived by a son, Ron (Rita) Conley of Mississippi; a daughter, Karen (Jeff) Kaut of Sciotoville; a granddaughter, Stephanie Kaut Rayburn of Portsmouth; three grandsons, Curt Conley of Wheelersburg, Matthew (Teresa) Conley of Sciotoville and Joseph (Angie) Kaut of Minford; five great-grandchildren, Nathan and Andrew Conley, Misty Kaut and Megan and Erin Conley, along with many special and close nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Rev. Matthew Brookes officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
