He was born June 15, 1958, in Portsmouth, to the late Jack and Loretta Mays Cunningham. Randy was a 1976 graduate of Valley High School and attended Shawnee State University. He worked for USEC for several years and then began his mission work. In July of 1998 Randy and his wife Patti, along with their daughter Lindsey, traveled to Haiti to begin their missionary work for Kingdom Builders International Inc. They would spend up to eight months a year working the missionary fields in Haiti. Their work included hospital ministry, opening medical clinics and schools, planting new churches, and developing a feeding program for entire families. Randy loved the Lord dearly and often said that he would work for the Lord until he died.
