Virgil Dale Hunt, 65, of Greenup, Ky., died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Ashland, Ky. He was born in Greenup County, Ky., Aug. 16, 1944, a son of the late Nollie Hunt and Myrl McFarland Hunt. He was a retired carpenter and construction worker. Surviving is a daughter, Paula Hunt Lunsford of Hull, Ga.; one granddaughter, Jordan Leigh Lunsford of Hull, Ga., two brothers, Ralph Hunt of Greenup, Ky., and Ray Hunt of Greenville, S.C.; two sisters, Olive Polly of Roanoke, Va., and Pearl Tollier of Stockdale, Ohio. Preceded in death by one brother, Denver Hunt, and two sisters, Ruth Mullins and Myrtle Bays.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Long Cemetery, Greenup, Ky., with Rev. Douglas Virgin officiating. There will be no visitation. Services by the Roberson Funeral Home of South Shore, Ky.
