Glen R. Blevins, 67, of South Webster died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, at his residence. He was born Jan. 1, 1942, in Scioto County, a son of the late Martin and Dorothy Gillum Blevins. He was a farmer and served in the U.S. Army with the 7th Cavalry Division. Glen is survived by his wife, Linda Weaver Blevins; a son, Heath Blevins and wife, Melissa, of Kenton, Ohio; a daughter, Stacy Blevins McWhorter and husband, Brian, of Goshen, Ohio; one brother, Keith Blevins of Wheelersburg; three sisters, Dreatha Nelson of Luna, Idaho, Judy Woodall of Loveland, Colo., and Bonnie Blevins of Boise, Idaho, and four grandchildren, Madison Blevins, Mariah Blevins, Tommy McWhorter and Isaac Blevins.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday Oct. 9, 2009, at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster with Pastor Mike Percell officiating. Private burial will be at South Webster Cemetery at the convenience of the family, with military honors by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Visitation will be Friday from noon to 2 p.m. at D.W.
