Wilma was born Sept. 30, 1925, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late William Bliss and Gertrude Smith Bliss. Wilma was a Jehovah’s Witness since 1950, and was a licensed practical nurse having worked in Portsmouth, Piketon and the Tampa, Fla., area.
Surviving are one son, Randall Miller and special friend Belinda Keathley of Columbus; one daughter, Luana Shaffer and husband Jeff of Columbus; seven grandchildren, Scott Bauer and wife Tracy of West Portsmouth, Kelly Ridout and husband Phil of Friendship, Rusty Riddlebarger and wife Learalee of Dayton, Shane Zaph of Columbus, Steven Miller and wife Ladonna of Portsmouth, Kristi Powell and husband Matt of Portsmouth, and Amy Miller of Hilliard; 13 great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Serena Miller of London, Ohio, Ann Stevens of Santa Monica, Calif., Anna Margaret Hardin and husband Richard of West Portsmouth, and Joyce Martin and husband John of New Boston; one son-in-law, Forrest “Butch” Bauer of Friendship; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Maynard Miller; one son, Ronald Maynard Miller; one daughter, Toni Elaine Bauer and infant; and a granddaughter, Lisa Michelle Riddlebarger.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour before the services at the funeral home.
