Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Geneva Horsley Kaut; three sons, Jeff (Karen) Kaut of Sciotoville, Paul (Tess) Kaut of Stoutsville and David L. Kaut of Portsmouth; two daughters, Judy Dobbins of Columbus and Beth Craft of Columbus; a brother, Paul (Sherry) Kaut of Rosemount; a sister, Edna Lintz of Rosemount; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Also preceding him in death were brothers Robert and John Kaut and a sister, Marie Kaut. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. Oscar Perry officiating. Interment will be in Rosemount Cemetery with military honors by the James Dickey Post of the American Legion.
