OLBH hosts July 31 luncheon

Human Motion at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital will host a free luncheon concerning knee replacement recovery featuring orthopedist Laura C. Reese, D.O. The luncheon will take place at 11 a.m. July 31 on the fifth floor of Bellefonte Centre on the OLBH campus, 1000 Ashland Drive, Ashland, Ky.

Reese’s topic will be “Recovering after a Total Knee Replacement.” Reese earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She conducted her fellowship at Marshall University, where she was inducted into the university’s Sports Medicine Hall of Fame. She is certified by both the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery and the American Board of Family Practice. Reese practices on the OLBH campus at 700 Saint Christopher Drive, Suite 200. Interactive catalog available online

Shawnee State University has launched an interactive catalog online. The information can easily be accessed through an online database with numerous search capabilities.

“This is more sophisticated than a pdf,” said SSU Registrar Jonica Burke. “Having it as a database instead of a static pdf is such a leap forward. We want it to be fully seamless.”

Each program has links to each requirement in the program making it very easy to navigate. Admission policies, registration information, fees and financial aid, colleges and departments, student support, pre-college programs, organizations, course descriptions, a campus map and all the academic policies and programs are included. A catalog search is also available.

Everything a student needs to know is in the catalog and it has named offices and people for many different services where students can go for help.
