Norma Dubois Morse Shump, 77, of Portsmouth, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center.

Born on Dec. 24, 1931, in Bangor, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Emma Dubois. Norma was a longtime employee of Harold Micklethwaite.

One son, Frank Morse, and one daughter, Ann Marie Morse, also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Neil Shump of Portsmouth and Adam Shump of Michigan; four daughters, Cheryl Morse Zahner of Kansas, Darlene Morse of Kentucky, Polly Popovich of Portsmouth, and Jill Ramey of Dayton; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and an aunt, Jean Robbins of Portland, Maine.

Services are at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
