Valley used a five-run fifth inning to eliminate Notre Dame 6-1 in a a sectional championship game Saturday afternoon in Lucasville.
Braiden Dillow picked up the win for Valley striking out 12 batters and going 2-for-3 and scoring twice.
“It was a battle of good pitching the first three innings,” Valley coach Montie Spriggs said. “We had a 45 minute rain delay and came out in the fourth inning. We got timely hits and played good defense.”
Valley will battle Symmes Valley 6 p.m. Tuesday at Minford.
