A Lucasville woman is one of five people arrested late last week in a major drug bust.

Ladonna Hablitzel of Ohio 104, in Lucasville, was arrested along with a Piketon woman and three people from Columbus.

Pike County Sheriff Richard N. Henderson said around 5 a.m., May 7, members of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and members of the Waverly Police Department Special Response Team, aided by members of the U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force, executed a search warrant at 286 Ohio 104.

Henderson said the warrant was a result of a joint investigation conducted by investigators with the Sheriff’s Office and the Waverly Police Department.

Henderson said the warrant resulted in the seizure of a large amount of cash and a large amount of crack cocaine.

Arrested along with Hablitzel were Deangelo Jackson, 25, of Sullivant Avenue in Columbus; Nathan Maurice Burk, 26 of Rich Street in Columbus; Andrea Dawn Smith, 28 of Jasper Road in Piketon; and Anita Boler of Second Street, Columbus.

Jackson was charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony of the first degree, possession of crack cocaine, a felony of the first degree, and tampering with evidence, a felony of the third degree. Jackson’s bond is set at $130, 000.

Burk was arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony of the first degree, possession of drugs, a felony of the first degree, and obstructing official business, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Burk’s bond is $101,000.

Smith was charged with possession of drugs, a felony of the first degree, and tampering with evidence, a felony of the third degree. Smith’s bond is set at $80,000.

Boler was charged with possession of crack cocaine, a felony of the first degree, and tampering with evidence, a felony of the third degree. Boler’s bond is set at $80,000.

Hablitzel will face charges of permitting drug abuse, a felony of the fifth degree and endangering children, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Hablitzel’s bond is set at $11,500.

Henderson said he considers the warrant a success because it took drugs and those allegedly responsible off the streets.
