Nancy M. Hall Rosier, 70, of Lucasville, died May 4, 2009, at SOMC Hospice.
She was born March 17, 1939, in Lucasville, a daughter of the late Lilburn and Ollie Gee Hall.
Nancy was a learning disabilities school teacher with the Northwest school district with 37 years of service. She received both her Bachelor of Science and Masters in Education from Ohio University and was a 1957 Valley High School graduate. She was also a U.S. Navy veteran. Nancy received her black belt in Sai-Kan Karate on Jan. 14, 1994, from Sensei Darrell Logan. She also was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Nancy is survived by one daughter, Renee (Wayne) Barnes of Lucasville; two sons, Jim (Aurora) Rosier of Lucasville and Michael (Rose) Rosier of New Boston; five grandchildren, Leslie and Nathan Barnes, James, Amber and Kate Rosier; four great-grandchildren, Michael, Madison, Savanna, and Gavin; two brothers, Robert (Linda) Hall of Lucasville and Gary Jenkins of Newark; and one sister, Phyllis (Robert) Ehrler of Lucasville. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and Roger Hall.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, with the Rev. Dwayne McNew officiating. Burial will follow in Big Run Cemetery, where graveside military rites will be performed by the William A. Baker Post of the American Legion. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
