He was born April 25, 1935, in Kentucky, to the late Hubert and Quennie Warner Brown. He was a former C&O Railroad employee. Along with his parents, Henry was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Frances Evans.
Henry is survived by his wife, Thelma Eversole Brown; a son, Richard (Patty) Brown of Columbus; three stepsons, Chuck and Mike Eversole of Hamilton and Jimmy Eversole of Piketon; four daughters, Brenda (Wayne) Cooley and Ellen Mahone, both of Columbus, Dorothy Edmondson of Amelia and Debbie Aldridge of Portsmouth; two stepdaughters, Sheila Brannon of Florida and Janet Hammonds of West Portsmouth; one brother, Danny Brown; three sisters, Elizabeth Duckett of Portsmouth, Barbara James of Amelia and Pricey Jamison; 37 grandchildren; and 49 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Interment will be at Worley’s Run Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday starting at 11 a.m.
