He was born Dec. 28, 1961, in Ironton, Ohio, to William Stapleton and the late Juanita “Ingles” Stapleton.
Besides his father, he is survived by a son, David (Tamara Holston) Stapleton; a daughter, Amanda “Tyrone” Mollett; eight brothers, Bill and Linda Stapleton, Terry and Gladys Stapleton, Mark and Veronica Stapleton, Rich Stapleton, Tim (Sandy Pruitt) Stapleton, Billy Wayne Day, Sam and Dottie Thompson and Carl Sissler; four sisters, Lavonda (Rick Hamilton) Davidson, Jill and Jeff Hurst, Donna Mullins and Edith and George Wilson; a lifelong friend, Debbie Stapleton; and three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Adam Mullins.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, with Pastor Willard Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Junior Furnace Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
