PUCO Lowers AEP’s Rate Hike To 20%

Last year OSCO Industries, Inc. of Portsmouth petitioned the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio not to grant American Electric Power a 52 percent rate increase through an Electric Security Plan.

Now the PUCO has ruled on the request. AEP’s proposal of a 52 percent increase over three years has been turned down, and the PUCO has reduced that increase to 20 percent.
