A spokesman at the Jackson, Ohio, Police Department said Wednesday afternoon that Chief Doug Reed was still at a home where the bodies of two young brothers were found.

In a short news release, Reed said, “The Jackson Police Department is leading the investigation into the deaths of two children. The children, ages 9 and 12, were found shot to death inside their grandparents home shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday. No other details are available as the investigation is ongoing, pending notification of all family members.”

The bodies were reportedly discovered by their grandparents who they lived with.

The police department spokesman said authorities were still in the process of attempting to find some family members. He was not sure when more information would be available.
