Born Feb. 13, 1932, in New Boston, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Nellie Shonkwiler Crisp and was employed at the former Williams Manufacturing Co. Evelyn was a member of Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union and treasurer of the tenant council at Wayne Hills.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Kenneth Reeder; brothers, Arthur Crisp Jr. and Donald E. Crisp; and a sister, Thelma Espudy.
Surviving are daughters, Arabella Eldridge of Sciotoville and Gail (Steve) Lacy of Portsmouth; a sister, Virginia Sexton of Batavia; nine grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday at Vernon Cemetery, with the Rev. Gary Heimbach officiating. Friends may call at the Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth after 11 a.m. on Saturday.
