WAVERLY — Three people were arrested Thursday morning in Waverly following an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs.


According to Waverly Police Chief Larry Roe, officers from the Waverly Police Department Special Response Team and the Ohio State Highway Patrol executed a search warrant at 1:12 a.m. Thursday at 207 W. Fourth St., following an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs.


Three suspects were reportedly arrested: Gary Howard, age 63, Autumn Satterfield, age 28, and Ricky Howard, age 44. Gary Howard was charged with possession of drugs, trafficking in drugs, possession of drug abuse instruments, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ricky Howard was charged with possession of drugs, trafficking in drugs, possession of drug abuse instruments, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Satterfield was charged with possession of drugs, possession of drug abuse instruments, possession of drug paraphernalia, and endangering children.


All three were scheduled to appear in common pleas court to plead to a bill of information.


Roe said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
