Valley exploded for eight runs in the sixth inning in a 14-6 road SOC II win over Northwest.


Corey Wolford went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs batted in. Nate Arnett entered in the fifth inning and threw a scoreless frame for the win.


The Indians host Zane Trace Saturday in a doubleheader.

Garrett Carmichael’s third home run of the season paced host Wheelersburg to a 9-1 win Thursday on Senior Day over Oak Hill.

The home run was a solo shot in the third. He along with Dylan Miller each had three hits for the Pirates.

Wheelersburg resumes a previously-tied game with Waverly Monday at home. The game is 1-1 entering the 12th with the Pirates unblemished in SOC II play and looking to clinch the conference title with a victory over the Tigers, who have two losses in the SOC II.
