Ladies’ Praise, Prayer and Bible Study
The Ladies’ Praise, Prayer and Bible Study will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, at the annex of the First Church of Christ, 1224 Dogwood Ridge Road, Wheelersburg.
Randy Wickham, minister, will have devotions at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the River Bend House in Wheelersburg. Praise, prayer and Bible Study will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 10.
Members of COLTS and guests will be visiting the Kentucky Gateway Museum in Maysville, Ky., on Saturday, April 13.

Seventy Connie Altman speaking at McDermott church
McDermott Community of Christ will have Seventy Connie Altman as guest speaker for our 10:45 worship service. Pastor Edward Cable will preside over the service. Children’s ministry will be provided by Wanda Joslin and ministry of music by Mick Gillette. Rhonda Morkassel will be our pianist for the service. Church school will precede the worship service, beginning at 9:30 with morning devotions by Elder Pete and Pauline Coburn. There will be a covered dish dinner after the worship service.
EUCC prayer meeting Wednesday
Prayer meeting will be held on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. and a free lunch is served every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with everyone in the community welcome. The Evangelical United Church of Christ invites you to join us for our weekly church service. This Sunday, at 10 a.m., Rev.Peter Michael will be presenting a sermon titled “Life in His Name”. This coming Sunday, April 7, Central will be hosting Joani Tabor, of Roanoke, VA, as a special musical guest. Joani will be presenting a concert of gospel music during the 10:30 a.m. Worship Hour. Joani is originally from Bluefield, WV. She is married to a preacher, Dr. Glenn A. Tabor. She has had 11 songs to chart on the National Christian Music Charts. She has completed 17 recording projects, a live video, and several recordings of her Women’s Conference and Retreat Teachings. Joani has gained national recognition with an impressive “Female Vocalist Of The Year”, “Founders Award”, and “Gold Cross Award” winning musical career.
Bible Quiz Playoff Scheduled at Northwest High School
Quiz teams from 28 churches have been involved in the Bible quizzes in four locations during the winter. Top teams from all four locations will participate May 10 in an Olympic Quiz playoff in the Northwest High School gymnasium located on Mohawk Drive in McDermott.
Winning teams will receive trophies and members will receive gold, silver or bronze medals. Activities begin at 7:30 p.m. with singing by the congregation.
Bible Sword Drill has been another event of the monthly Bible Quizes. Contestants win by being first to locate and read an announced Scripture reference. At the Olympic Event, a playoff will take place among area Sword Drill champions.
The quiz program is a ministry of InFaith, with missionaries Jody and Beth Stevens, 740-259-0174.
Unity Full Gospel Fellowship Church in New Boston will be host of Tim Oldfield ministering April 14, 15, 16 and 17 at 7 p.m.
The church will also be hosting Dr. Calvin Ray Evans on April 18 and April 19 at 7 p.m. both days.
